by admingp

Snake, God of All Comfort

God of all comfort is a title that should give every believer peace of mind. On are own we are weak and can easily be derailed during our spiritual journey. However, as believers we do not have to feel overwhelmed by our circumstances, because we do not travel this road alone but with God.

—2 Corinthians 1:3–4 NKJV “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”

Face Troubles with Hope and Joy

Whatever suffering you are currently experiencing, whatever scare or panic embraces the world, as believers we have a great advantage in facing these tribulations. Instead of being swallowed by despair, we can face these troubles with hope and joy.

In times of troubles it is important for the believer to reflect on all the spiritual blessing we have received in Christ. A Thankful attitude can have a positive impact to our well being. We need to show the world our grateful heart for the salvation and the heavenly hope we received from Christ.

God of all comfort

In life we will face physical hardships, dangers, and a whole mix of worries. Many things in the world are beyond our control and you should not be surprised to find yourself in less than desirable circumstances during your time on earth.

As you find yourself immersed in the troubles of this world, it is important to remember you are not alone. You are accompanied by the God of all comfort. He is walking along with you. He became your companion once you trusted Christ as your savior. It is by Christ’s action on the cross, that God has shown his mercy toward guilty sinners and has given you a rich inheritance. Because of this inheritance, we have a relationship with God which gives us access to the Father. How amazing, that anytime we need encouragement we can go directly to the Lord.

Joy and Peace

No matter what is troubling us we can communicate with God in prayer and share our concerns, fears and hopes. This is quite an incredible privilege and blessing. Not only that but by prayer and by meditating on His Word, it helps turn our focus to spiritual truths which will increases our understanding of God.

By leaning on Him we can find peace in the knowledge that we are secure in Christ. We have the hope and promise of eternal life. Through are communication with God, He can provide us with encouragement and give us spiritual courage and the strength we need to get through a situation. The Holy Spirit is our comforter and we have the promise of eternal life.

When you begin to gain a better understanding of the love God poured out on the cross for lost sinners, you will experience amazing Joy as you become aware that God, not your circumstances is your source of happiness. This is the transformation the believer goes through as they begin to realize everything that became true of them the moment they trusted in Christ.

This metamorphosis of being lost and without hope to being saved and becoming a new creation blessed with all the spiritual blessings should fill the believer with joy and peace even when they are struggling in this world.

We are Comforted and the Comforter

Of course as a believers, many of the tribulations and attacks we face will be because of our faith in Christ. As the world hates Jesus Christ, so the world will hate us since we are His ambassadors on earth.

When you face persecution, you can take comfort in the fact that you are not alone. We do not have to carry this burden by ourselves because we now belong to the body of Christ. One of the privileges of this membership is that God can use other believers as a resource to help us through trying times.

Each time a believer suffers some sort of tribulation, with the help of God, the believer is like a piece of metal hardened by the flame. You come out stronger and have a better capability to serve and comfort those who are hurting or suffering. It is a great honor to be part of the body of Christ. Not only is God walking along side you and helping you to successfully navigate your troubles but God can also use you as a resource to comfort another.

We are the focus of God’s mercy and grace and as such, He is with us on are journey making sure we have the strength to prevail. I hope your are thankful for God’s comforting presence in your life and you communicate with Him regularly.

What is the hope of the cross?

I know Christ died my death on the cross so that I may have eternal life. But in everyday life what does that mean to a believer. It certainly does not take the bumps out of the road of life.

The truth about Christ's painful death on the cross is that Christ did not come to remove our human sufferings but to show us a way through it to all of the heavenly blessings beyond.

Eph 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,.

He has given us the strength to survive our tribulations until we are called home. His death on the cross is our guarantee!

That is the hope of the cross.
