Romans 8:33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?
In Romans 8:32 we learned the meaning behind Paul’s question “how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?” The question we are looking at in this article (Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect?) is a direct follow up to this previous question and it reinforces the evidence of God’s love that He demonstrated toward us.
It is God who justifies. God is the one who justified and pardoned the sinner. So, it would not be logical for God to condemn those who he justified through the blood of Christ. We are important to God because of His Son. We are secure in Christ and nobody can bring a charge against us! At one time we were separated from God but through Christ we are reunited with God and what God brings together nobody can destroy.
Our innocence is not based on our actions but on the actions of a loving God. So, we can rest assured there is nothing we or anyone else can do that would bring a charge against us that would condemn us! It is God who justified us and he is beyond reproach.
Accept God’s offer of salvation and enjoy the peace of God.
